Process:

Leveraging Unreal Engine and Google Cardboard technology, the application utilizes 360-degree videos embedded with interactive branching stories. Worked closely with a team of videographers to capture scenarios featuring actors and actresses. The application is designed with multiple interactive branching paths and endings, allowing students to navigate different scenarios, each guiding them to assist the virtual patient in unique ways.

Highlights & Milestones:

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was leading the development team to experiment with UI/UX designs, which was a creatively stimulating process. Another highlight was the invaluable experience of working closely with audiology experts, whose insights greatly enriched the educational realism and impact of the application.

Outcome:

The application has received positive preliminary feedback for its innovative approach to audiology training, specifically highlighting its user-friendly UI and real-world applicability. Our multidisciplinary collaboration has also opened doors for further research and development, setting the stage for future updates that will include more complex scenarios and interactive features.

Future Improvements:

The roadmap ahead includes refining the UI/UX based on user feedback and expanding the scenario library to cover a wider range of audiology cases. We're also looking into partnerships with educational institutions to integrate the application into audiology curricula.
